No beta drivers or anything Alex?

JohnDotCom 12th February 2007 21:54

Sell by all means Alex but the Problem is not with Vista its with ATi who have not written a driver for older Graphics cards (it also does not have so much memory). Will have one sorted for you by April as we have several clients with this Problem and over 8000 Dell Laptops with it. If its a Dell changing the Graphics card is quite easy, let me know your Laptop Model & Make & Ill see what Ive got.
Always run the Microsoft Vista Test Program (from their website) as there are several Programs that won't run either including AutoCad 2005 which is much in use and a several Thousand Pound Program! It finds any Hardware/software that wont run and tells you an answer or refers you to maker! Very Accurate.

Well i would like to keep it, but i just have not got the time to keep installing again and again like i did with Win Xp when it come out,

I have an Hp Pavilion Zt3200 Note book!

I have worked out that it does not have enough memory to run that fancy Aero thing, but not too worried about that.

I did run the test programme but i cant remember it picking it up!

I can get Vista to work fine in Safe mode.

So you reckon that there will be some software in April?

Can you give me any more info on this driver? because if there is going to be one soon, i will keep hold of it, but if not i will take it back to the shop!

thax

Still awaiting info, it is all going to take time at moment Alex im afraid. Some Companies don't seem to want to bother with certification of products other than the latest so they are a bit slow ssorting. We are testing many drivers to see what will/won't work. At the end of the day its up to you mate but any Graphics Card that is very old, less than 32mb memory on board may be a problem till SP1.
