Sadly I've decided its time to move my Rover 75 on. Its my third 75 and my favourite but I've decided to concentrate on my old bikes and I've found a Morris Minor (!!) for occasional commuting.
Its a blue 1999 Connoisseur 2ltr V6 Petrol with about 114,205 on the clock. It has an MoT to 28 August 2022 and is located in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. Good bits: Goes well and everything works. Heated leather seats are lovely. JVC stereo has bluetooth & USB connectivity so does handsfree and lets me carry my entire music collection on a stick. I've had it since Dec 2015 and in that time its had: 2016 Cambelts & Service 4 Tyres (Dunlop) Fan Brushes Shannon tube Oil & Filters Spare Key (no chip) Wipers Interior Light Wishbone Bushes Wishbone (osf) 2017 Washer pump Oil & Filters Brakes & Track Rod Tracking 4 Tyres (Avons) Headlight Polish Radiator Hose Silencer 2018 Oil & Filters Aircon gas 2018 Oil & Filters 2019 Oil (inc g'box), Filters Battery Radiator & Anti-freeze Drop links Wishbone nsf Rear Springs & Shock Absorbers Idler pulley 2020 Brake lines Wishbone (osf) 2021 Drop links Coolant cap Front Tyres (Avon ZT7) Oil & Filters Bad bits: She has always lost coolant - ODB occasionally says mis-fire on cyl 5 so I suspect the front head gasket is leaking, no mayo. Some paint chips but nothing major. According to the VIN list on the forum its one of the oldest production cars on here. |
I didn't get any replies and she's still available.
2020 has brought: New brake lines Sill welded MOT to 28/08/21 OSF wishbone bush Wipers Headlight polish Still needs hand-brake, front tyres & coolant issues sorting. I've only done 2000 miles since March. She starts first time and drives very well. No rush :¬) |
Sorry all, decided to keep it until summer then fix it.
Ignore this |
Sadly I didn't get round to fixing her this summer and I think its now time to let her go.
Still in physically good nick but the water loss has got a bit worse over the past couple of weeks -s see note about ODB & Head Gasket above. |
