Pictures of your car Part 3

This is one of the best topic’s a 75/ZT owner likes,

So now is the time to wash and polish your car and show her off :pic:

Part 1 can be found HERE

Part 2 can be found HERE

New Rule

The forum picture galleries are used sometimes by opportunists to sell their cars,
either on the same site or linking the image to another site - so we end up paying the cost of hosting for them.
For this reason pictures submitted by unsubscribed members will no longer be accepted.
It's a good reason for subscribing, and at £10 it's a downright bargain too.

how do i downsize pics to fit?

Will all members please remember the requirements BEFORE posting in this forum.

I refer you to THE RULES:

But don't just look at them - submit your pics for everyone else to see too!

However, before you start uploading pics here's a few guidelines for you:

The gallery is for 75 and ZT models only - hence the name of the section. Images of other vehicles or other subjects are not to be uploaded into this gallery.

Keep the pictures to a reasonable size. From 21st September there will be a limit of a width x height size of 800 x 600 pixels.

Keep pictures to a decent file size. The maximum size given above will result in a file size of between 70Kb - 160kb depending on resolution

Only use the jpeg format - this is to make sure they are viewable within an acceptable amount of time by others. Don't upload any pics in bitmap (bmp) format, they will be deleted.

Sadly, forum pic galleries are used sometimes by opportunists to sell their cars, either on the same site or linking the image to another site - so we end up paying the cost of hosting for them. For this reason pics submitted by unsubscribed members will no longer be accepted. It's a good reason for subscribing, and at £3 it's a downright bargain too.

If you are at all unsure, just ask.

Thanks.
The Club Team.

Hi,

Thought I'd post a couple of pictures of my Connoisseur SE CDT, especially as she has just had a clean and polish.

I'm afraid, yet another silver, Zircon this time.

Done 110,000, had two previous owners and judging by the loads of tiny chips in the front bumper paintwork done a lot of motorway driving.
Been serviced and had EGR cleaned and I've delved into the plenum, luckily no signs of water.

Her she is:-

pab 4th October 2009 21:27

where abouts in yorkshire are you?
the chrome bullet mirrors look the part..are they powerfolds?

Robs 4th October 2009 21:39

I'm in East Yorkshire. Hoping to meet Astros whose in North Lincs shortly.
The mirrors unfortunately are not powerfolds and the offside one has a small crack at the bottom, but they polish up a treat

Yes indeed. I particularly like the first one. The position of J20 is great and nicely balanced by the background, particularly the highlight of the yellow boat which sets it off a treat. The bit of extra space in front of the car gives it somewhere to go and therefore it's not cramped in the shot, which I feel it is in the second one. It's all over very blue but that's no bad thing. The only downside is that it looks quite a lot over sharpened on my monitor, giving a lot of jaggy lines on the car detail.

phenonix 5th October 2009 08:09

Bluejon,
looks like added chrome strips above the fog lights and at the rear, because of the shape of the moulding there it should be easy to line up and get straight, what thickness did you use?

GagHalfrunt 5th October 2009 09:16

I love the bit of writing above the sills - that just works! Gives it a little class in my opinion.

Hi phenonix,

Sorry I cannot remember size of chrome strip used, but its the same width of the ridge round the bumpers of the mk1.As you say it is easy to line up,better to use a hair drier round the corners so it bends easier, many thanks.

Best Regards.

I don't think either of us are fans of the 'smiley' numberplates. I have thought about getting replacements made for W367, as currently they are branded by the Suzuki dealership it was bought from!

Allegroboi 10th October 2009 17:54

You definately need to get rid of a plate saying Suzuki. Smileys either you love em or you don't. But that space was made to be filled. Whatever your choice just enjoy the car

I think I've only ever seen one other MG in Gulfstream Kinetic, think there was a picture of one on Xpower Forums. Don't think there would be much chance of getting a touch up stick from Halfords for it! :D

richardwjackson 16th January 2010 12:07

looks a lovely motor! You'd never guess from the pictures that it was 10 years old.

slickster 16th January 2010 23:14

Think I saw a Gulf Stream Kinetic today :drool4:

I was at Austin Garages (having just a little adjustment made on one of the WRX's belts) and they had a ZT 260 in. Nick said it was a monogram colour that was black with some added green, looking through the colour thread and the above mentioned seemed to match it best. (It may be known on the two-sixties site? Was a private reg starting A7 ...)
