I can't rememeber the torx size but, for sure, You need a very good set of torx not chinese stuff. They are very tight and the risk of breaking the bolts are very high: i damaged one on the three heads of the pump by trying with two sets of semi professional tools and was unable to unscrew the bolt anymore.
Go for one of those

and You will not be disappointed and waisting Your time

Vilas66. Those keys may do the job but they have a built in problem.

They throw an uneven load on the bolt which can make the bolt harder than normal to undo.

A TEE shaped TORX driver is required. It puts a turning force directly down the axis of the bolt. This force acts on the whole surface of the bolt threads and not just on one side as those L shaped tools do.---:D

Hi David.
You need a good Torx 30 I like to use the Wera screwdriver type, but any goo T type Torx will work.

Remember if the HPFP is to be removed then a special tool is required, it must not be removed without this tool.

hello Brian
I have been looking at the wiring diagrams and the fuel pressure regulator gets it power from the engine fuse box F1 from there it goes to connector c0450 c0160-3 then from there it goes to the c1667(RW) connector on the pump from there (NU) it goes to the ecu so if this regulator isn't having power then there would be no high pressure reading and so the ecu would not then send a signal to the injectors what do you say I shall have a look tomorrow

David, the HP pump is driven mechanically from the engine, and will only register any pressure during cranking/running ;)

As an aside, the low pressure side is way too low, what happens to the figure if the pump is allowed to run for a few seconds, does it get over 200Kpa?

Brian :D

hello Brian
the reading for the low pressure when cranking is 375 kpa which is 3.75 bar
