Rear Suspension Woes

Hi - after fifteen years of loyal service, my beloved Rover 75 has unexpectedly failed her MOT on corroded rear upper suspension arms. The subframe is also rather pitted, but not rotten. My garage thinks it should be dropped to facilitate the repairs, and replaced at the same time. Do any of you have these parts available, or can anybody recommend where I can source these items at reasonable cost, and any other advice, please?

The car is still very presentable, and well worth keeping.

Many thanks.

Garage making work that isn't there........no need to drop the subframe, all that is required is a bit of care and attention.

I'm guessing you've taken it to Harrisons perhaps?

If you want it, I'll give you the number of a chap in Seaton Carew who will do the job with care, he is above all an enthusiast ;)

Brian :D

P.S. the last arm I did, took me less than an hour and a half to complete, on my back on the drive.........doesn't always work that way though ;)

Thanks, Brian

It's a chap who used to work at Harrison's. He runs a reputable body shop, and I've known him for many years, in fact he did the original PDI on the car! I'll pass on your advice to him and see what happens.

All the best, David 😊
