At crossroads

Mike Noc kindly came over and took the head off and it's not good news. A couple of melted pistons. I'm now at a point where I don't know if I can carry on with it. It will need a replacement engine for sure and this can't be done at my property. Now considering cutting my losses and getting shot of it.

Engine?

You haven't said what engine or car it is!

I would hazard a guess at a 1.8T :shrug:

Ouch - I know how that feels - I was at a similar position this time last year.

I mentioned on here that i was Considering getting rid ............ However, i'm glad to say this goes against the Club Ethos :} and, i was encouraged/inspired and helped to sort it out :cool:

thread here - https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=287791

I'm Glad i persevered - I've added to my experience and the Car is still going strong :}

If the Engine is beyond viable repair - maybe this would be an option (if still available)

Re engine

Again, my problems are twofold. I simply can't undertake an engine change here where I live. I have no off road premises and all the car parking is communal for the residents. Secondly, that engine, nice as it is, is £1000.00 and then what is the cost of removal and replacement? I'm not prepared to spend the best part of two grand on a car that's worth four hundred quid! It's not an E-type y'know.
