I'm now MG-less :(

I think it's fair to say I've had a love hate relationship with my ZT for the last year and a bit, it was originally bought for Monte Carlo or Bust banger rally in which it performed well, except the time it blew a hose...

It's always been the go to car for longer trips as my other car, a Yaris is functional but not at all pleasurable. It will be sad to come home one day next week and it just won't be there, but for my partner and I it will always be in our memories as a companion on many trips out and the Monte Carlo adventure.

As for what's next, I honestly don't know, right now I've got a new Mazda2 turning up next week which has taken all my money for now and that's pretty much the reason I wasn't able to get my MG fixed for the next month or two. I've owned 3 ZT's and so it probably won't be the last, I love them despite their many many issues, perhaps when I have more time I will be more receptive to a restoration project. I'll still lurk around in the meantime and I really must get out to the shows.

It happens to us all, and some keep coming back. As you say, its a strange relationship we have with these cars. ;)

Hope you enjoy the Mazda2. :}

I keep getting fed up with fixing mine, but for some reason I keep looking at others to buy instead as if it's going to help. :getmecoat:

I think it's best described as an abusive relationship.

Sorry to hear that you are going to be MG less soon. The only crumb of comfort that I can offer you is that by your post, I don’t think it will be long before you have a restoration project type back in your ownership.When these cars get under your skin, it is hard to shake them off.
