I would like to clean up the boot badge? Any suggestions, what about toothpaste or sandpaper? Thank you :}

I've always bought replacements as they haven't cleaned up well...

Rimmers sent a replacement last week, but it is a stick on insert. To open the case, it is suggested using dental floss or fishing line, slide it under, swap inserts, then close.

I looked at eBay for a replacement in good condition, but the guy wanted over £37 for the badge. I thought I would try restoring what I already have.

In follow up, I cracked on and used the above product I had in a cupboard. I am happy with the result.

That’s a good result as I had to use autoglym plastic cleaner and elbow grease on my boot lid badge as it had started to tarnish.

My 1999 boot & quarter glass badges were in poor condition, very tarnished & hardly translucent.
I've used the good old Turtle Wax and they're now immaculate! :p:
But I agree with @Gate Keeper Farecla G3 scratch remover should make the trick as well.

I agree the G3 is good stuff, before and after a couple of minutes .https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5c5d7d8ccc.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0e96a2ce06.jpg

Or would you spare any tiny penny, tooth paste may do.
