injector in balance

hi to all
today the abs light came on and the speedo stopped working so i plugged in the t4 to see which sensor had failed it was the front right so i will have to get a new abs sensor so while i had the t4 plugged in i checked the engine roughness real time to see how the engine was running and i found that there was a difference between cylinder 1 and cylinder 4 when you select cylinder 1 or 40 it says that the inbalace should be below +15 or -15 if above take action see photos now is this down to the injectors and may be on the way out what do you think

Hi David.
Was the engine up to temp when you took the photos, that is the RPM balance, what did the next page say which give you reading or the - and + balance between the injectors.

Also drop a bottle of this into your fuel tank next time you add some fuel or just before, it helps clean the tips or jet pattern to a certain extent, it will not cure an injector way out of balance which i doubt yours are, i use this at least twice a year.

If that is the suggestion from the diagnostics on T4 then yes they mean check the compression David.

You can buy leakback test kits from ebay cheaply, it involves removing the leakback pipes and connecting pipes to the top of the injectors, when cranking the engine, the offending injector(s) will fill up the container quite quickly.

David as Andy says above here is the kit below.

Is your car running rough etc which is why you think you need to look at injectors ?

Connect the tubes and bottle to the injectors, block off the original leak back hose, then start car for 1-2 minutes and check how slow or quick the bottles fill up and to what ml

block the original leak back hose.

Stand the tubes upright or hang them.

You can see one as more in than the others but not enough to worry about really unless the car is/was playing up.

Brass connectors are always a good buy to no worry of the plastic connectors gong brittle and snapping off.
