The project rare yellow tourer has began!!!!

Hi everyone,
The project has begun, the rare (former rapid response car) 75 trophy yellow tourer, arrived by transporter late Tuesday evening, so I never had an opportunity to review it in any true light, however on Wednesday I was able to spend a few hours on it, and found a few issues

The first thing I noticed when I opened the bonnet, was the bonnet sensor must have been faulty as somebody has used some type of double sided tape with a plastic piece to bring the Bonnet and sensor closer together, then I found several dents on the roof, near the front and rear passenger side window
Ok I'll add them to the list....
Then after I removed the rear bumper and rear lights, I noticed how somebody has glued, and when I say glued I mean seriously glued, with some type of silicon the near side rear light in place, so I set about removing that I then started on some of the bodywork and got the dowser out for an hour or few 😏and started to pull , so that's not too bad, in fact it pulled quite well.
Once this was done by then set about stripping out a spare tailgate I had, and removed all the accessories and stripped it down bare, then went about prep work before painting.
Oh well I've started now, but this is going to be some work and lots of pennies spent😟 But I'm doing out of love so NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- the expense this car deserves another chance, and I'll keep people updated

Sorry about only having 3 photos so far but I'm still trying to work this upload stuff
Mick

Really looking forward to seeing this develop, you'll have to work on the pictures side of things:D

It's going to be a real Hans Christian Andersen "Ugly Duckling" story where the end result will put the white swan to shame.

Yeah this is a brief photo from when it was in the salvage yard, there was quite a mess in the boot near where the Sat nav unit is located, by the way thanks for helping me get some practice at this uploading lol

Can't believe you're taking this project on. Respect for saving what I believe is one of three cars though.

I would just like to make a special thanks to humphshumphs for his kind offer of a new badge, that I shall put on the car when finished
Richard is a true gent.

Yeah it was the first one of the three, It had to be saved I'm hoping when it's done, other members in the club will be able to sit in it/ride in it and enjoy it like I will 😃
