Upgrading from 160 to 190 exhaust - will it fit cat?

Recently converted my ZT 160 v6 to a 190 v6. It has the engine, ecu, intake and throttle etc. However it still has the old 160 exhaust system - which is 57mm as apposed to the 190's 60mm system I believe.

I can get a 60mm 190 spec back box, and I think a mid section too. However will I need to replace the cat/front pipe too?

Is the 160 and 190 cat different?

EDIT: Measured my exhaust and it seems to be 60mm. I thought all 160 V6's had a 57mm exhaust?

I have had both 57mm and 60mm on my KV6, both fit straight on to the cat ;)

Ok been out under the car. The cat and centre are all one piece, and it seems to be 60mm not 57mm as has been suggested.
Back box diameter steps down though it’s a 75 diesel back I think.
Exhaust is blowing in the centre.

Are new aftermarket centre sections 60mm or 57mm?

Aftermarket centre section I purchased was 60mm (advertised as for 1.8T and 2.5v6)

Can you remember where from or what make?

Thinking about ordering a klarius from euro car parts using a ZT 190 registration number (it does come up with a different part number to when I use my reg of my 160)

Interesting that my 160 has a 60mm OD exhaust, I've read this was just 190's,

I think all ZT's had the 60mm exhaust. I've seen the original factory press release when the 180 auto version was launched that specifically said that it would have the same exhaust as the 190.

i had the parts adviser at rimmers in their stores searching about with his caliper vernia for ages. checking different sizes for my kv6 2.5. i ordered aftermarket at the finish as i could not get a definitive answer. even then i had to buy a stepped joint from rimmers to join the two sections as the o.d on both were different.too small or large to fit over or inside each other. despite what should have been standard sizes fitted borewise from new. there were variations. you need to size them up before you buy as it can be a minefield. if yours is still in one piece stainless or not be very carefull where you cut. its a big problem lengthwise to miss the a.r.b brackets (if you have them fitted ) on the rear subframe to avoid knocking. same applies to the rear box angle pipe and mounting of the box lengthwise correctly..... you could well be better off getting an exhaust place to do the job ... not much fun on your back cursing what might have been ..;) but good luck anyway.
