Hi, with only just over 600 built the Old English White/Arran White 75 is getting scarce on our roads. As an owner and lover of the colour, I am trying to track and record remaining cars. If you own one, why not join my list and help!
If you don't want to give reg details, or would rather pm them, that's okay too! I'll start off with mine. Please add your details if you wish. Eventually I will make a swish web page. Rover 75 Connie 1.8 auto V885 FBC Derbyshire |

MFL is what people call old English white. Although the paint code is the same the colour was renamed Arran White.
I believe they were more common in Cowley production and records are sparse. Looking up the records for a 2.5V6 club Auto in Arran White, there was only one made at Longbridge! Funny enough X499MFL & X498MFL are identical specs 498 though is scrap. |
I don't know if MFLs latest owner is on here, but they're on Facebook. I shall post on there too when I get a minute!

MFL was mine up to the end of January, it's been moved on again in the last week or so and I do know it's gone to a good home and I believe a new member. Hope that the new owner keeps this thread alive. http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=212864 |
Hi Dawn, I'm sure Trikey would post, he has my old one, owned for over 8 years. 2000, 1.8 n/a, W317 OEN

I could have bought this car back in 2012. http://i457.photobucket.com/albums/q...201024x768.jpg http://i457.photobucket.com/albums/q...12%202%201.jpg http://i457.photobucket.com/albums/q...201024x768.jpg I didn't as I suspected serious expenditure was pending. She had 90k on the clock and neither the clutch or the belts had been done, and the price was high. Lovely looking thing though. A tinge of regret here. |

The clutch on petrol models massively outlive those on diesels. Most of the clutch issues we read about here are in diesel versions. No doubt vibration is the cause as both versions use virtually identical set ups. |
