Rear brake disc stuck!!
Whilst my 75 is off the road, awaiting welding work, I have been refurbing the rusty brakes. The calipers have been done and look great but I simply cant get the disc off. I have wound the handbrake shoe adjuster as far as it will go but the disc wont come off the hub. It is loose and rotates but the brake shoes wont close enough to allow the disc off. Any suggestions guys? I really want to finish this part of the refurb but this is really bugging me! :)

Handbrake lever too?

I havent touched the handbrake lever. Would loosening that off allow more movement with the discs to release? sorry for the stupid question!! :getmecoat::getmecoat:

Think the internal adjuster operates the top part of the shoes, the lever the bottom - doesn't take much time so must be worth a try.

Yes! You must back off the adjustment at the lever.

Brilliant, thanks guys, will give this a go tomorrow. :)
