Rain X anti fog for specs?
 

Works great on my specs when wearing a mask. It says not for use on plastic but my lenses seem fine with it. Hope this assists anyone else with steamed up specs.;)

Washing up liquid is cheaper, used to use it on the inside of the helmet visor back in my biking days.

Washing up liquid or shampoo on my Ice Hockey visor and its what all the other guys used as well.

Yup used rain x on my specs too.....

I used to use Rainex, now use Muc Off - designed for use with motorcycle helmet visors but works really well on glasses aswell (also works a treat on my visor on cold, damp mornings).

I get expensive little kits of spray and a cloth made by zeiss supplied by work. They are about £15 each. Very effective but I wouldn't pay it myself.

I've also just RainX'd our shower enclosure after a service - replaced the door seals/mangetic strips - ever checked the price of these? It's shocking.
Anyway, talking about de-misting glass, your specs and such, here's a bit more useless cutting edge information for you. The plastic film covering pre-packed foodstuffs - fresh meat, your favourite best back or streaky, frozen ready meals, etc. - is also treated with an anti-fogging agent. Of course they don't use Fairy liquid or RainX, but they do work in the same way and it's built into the film itself. Yes, I've done research on those too in my time. They prevent microscopic droplets of water evaporating from the food from misting the surface (you wouldn't buy what you can't see would you?). Basically, these agents reduce the surface tension of water so the droplets collapse into a thin, tranparent film. So, the water's still there but you can see through it. I suspect the RainX system contains both anti-fogging agent and water repellant. So best of both types. In the days before such things seemed so important, you got a similar effect by DIY from rubbing a cut potato (ie. starch) over the windscreen - only for anti-fogging the inside of course. Applied on the outside, rain will spread more easily under the wiper blades, but the starch soon washes off.

Spit in them and polish it up. Several times. The pH in your spit will balance to your breathe and body temperature. Its the first thing they teach you about when military or private diving in any form at all.

Avoid anything to drink for about 20 minutes before you clean them. You won't go wrong.

Also if that's to much for you, pure old school shaving foam is brilliant. Again a military trick from special forces working in artic conditions and has made its way to artic truckers now.
