A new strategic transport plan for the North of England
Hot off the press. Transport for the North (TfN) is aiming for near zero emissions from surface transport in the region by 2045.
"Along with announcing its ambition for near zero emissions from surface transport in the region by 2045, TfN’s new plan aims to support efforts to reduce car dependency and create the capacity required to grow usage of public transport networks." https://www.fleetnews.co.uk/news/tra...bition-by-2045 “We have set interim milestones, including a 56% reduction in emissions by 2030 and a 96% reduction by 2040” https://transportforthenorth.com/wp-...North-2024.pdf |
Truly amazing how quangos (who have elevated positions) get transport provided wherever they go. At no personal cost.

You're not wrong Simon, The 'Under Review' CAZ signs are about 1/2 mile from my house in all directions, Everyone is wondering when it will come into effect in one form or another. They're banking on a lot of people ditching private cars for cheap public transport if truth be known. The Government has just last week have provided £143million for 955 electric buses & that's on top of the £3.5billion to improve bus services. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/1...o-hit-the-road |
That's interesting. I think, it'll be positive changes. Hiring a reputable transportation company like medical answering services customer service is crucial when it comes to transportation. They can handle calls and appointments, allowing you to focus on your housing needs.

Speaking of ULEZ have you seen the latest infrastructure for when the Euro 7 emission mandate starts next year? Road Vents! These green road vents that act as a vacuum cleaner to suck up tyre particles & brake dust that the upcoming Euro 7 emission standard will mandate? Those particles & exhaust fumes will go through a scrubbing system & the clean air vented from a roadside cabinet.. They're trialling them in Lewisham. https://airqualitynews.com/local-gov...nfrastructure/ https://i.imgur.com/SHKJgaCl.jpg |
Did not know all the politicians lived in Lewisham.

Great until somebody comes along and digs up the road to lay a new pipe.
