Pictures of your car Part 3
This is one of the best topic’s a 75/ZT owner likes,
So now is the time to wash and polish your car and show her off :pic: Part 1 can be found HERE Part 2 can be found HERE New Rule The forum picture galleries are used sometimes by opportunists to sell their cars, either on the same site or linking the image to another site - so we end up paying the cost of hosting for them. For this reason pictures submitted by unsubscribed members will no longer be accepted. It's a good reason for subscribing, and at £10 it's a downright bargain too. |
|
Andy, I think you should make the Part 2 thread a sticky (like Part 1) before it sinks down in the list. (Just my opinion) :o

Pics now in the right place! Nice trip out to whitby.

Hi,
Thought I'd post a couple of pictures of my Connoisseur SE CDT, especially as she has just had a clean and polish. I'm afraid, yet another silver, Zircon this time. Done 110,000, had two previous owners and judging by the loads of tiny chips in the front bumper paintwork done a lot of motorway driving. Been serviced and had EGR cleaned and I've delved into the plenum, luckily no signs of water. Her she is:- |
where abouts in yorkshire are you?
the chrome bullet mirrors look the part..are they powerfolds? |
I'm in East Yorkshire. Hoping to meet Astros whose in North Lincs shortly.
The mirrors unfortunately are not powerfolds and the offside one has a small crack at the bottom, but they polish up a treat  |
Have posted some more harbour scenes of J20 hopefully better than the thumbnails posted previously.

Bluejon,
looks like added chrome strips above the fog lights and at the rear, because of the shape of the moulding there it should be easy to line up and get straight, what thickness did you use? |
I love the bit of writing above the sills - that just works! Gives it a little class in my opinion.
|
Quote:
Sorry I cannot remember size of chrome strip used, but its the same width of the ridge round the bumpers of the mk1.As you say it is easy to line up,better to use a hair drier round the corners so it bends easier, many thanks. Best Regards. John. |

Many thanks for your kind comments, just got a new camera, havent quite got it sorted yet.byetheway, the badges on the bonnet of my car at the locomotion meet are not permanent fixtures, they are magnetic signs I had printed and intended for use at meets, same as the ones I got for Actros and Stocktake. They look stunning guys and welcome to 75 ownership and the club. All you both need now are smiley number plates on the rear  |

You definately need to get rid of a plate saying Suzuki. Smileys either you love em or you don't. But that space was made to be filled. Whatever your choice just enjoy the car

Stupid Young Drivers
WELL GOT A BIT DISHEARTENED WHEN I SAW ALL THESE LOVELY GLEAMING CARS ON HERE.SO I THOUGHT I WOULD POST SOME PICS OF WHAT A YOUNG DRIVER NOT LOOKING AT WHAT WAS HAPPENING ON THE ROAD.
YES IT WAS PARTLY MY FAULT FOR NOT LOOKING BUT I ONLY HAD THE DOOR ABOUT 6 INCHES AND THEN BANG DOOR LAID ON THE FLOOR WITH ME HOLDING IT AND TRYING TO KEEP MY SON IN THE CAR AS WELL. JUST HAD A PANTS JOURNEY FROM ESSEX GOING UPTO SALTBURN BY THE SEA WHEN THIS HAPPENED.NEEDLESS TO SAY WE ENDED UP HIREING A CAR TO GET BACK HOME. THEN TO TOP IT ALL OFF THE BLUE OVAL MAINDELERSHIP WHERE IT WAS SENT WANTED TO WRITE THE CAR OFF BECAUSE THEY CLAIMED THEY COULDNT GET HOLD OF CERTAIN PARTS OF THE TRIM. HEY HO THATS MY RANT OVER AND DONE WITH JAMES:shrug::shrug::shrug::shrug::shrug: |
That is a bit of bad luck, but don't let them write it off
|
No reason at all why that should be written off. Sorry to hear/see this, though. That's not nice at all.

I was at Austin Garages (having just a little adjustment made on one of the WRX's belts) and they had a ZT 260 in. Nick said it was a monogram colour that was black with some added green, looking through the colour thread and the above mentioned seemed to match it best. (It may be known on the two-sixties site? Was a private reg starting A7 ...) |
