Anyone know 'lisp' language?

As the title.

Anyone know Lisp? more accurately AutoLisp.

I'm a complete novice and finding the forums TOO over my head!

I don't know what you are doing but I had a quick Google search.
Looking at an example or two, can you use Mircorsoft Excel macros to do what you want? Excel macros use as near as damn it visual basic. VB itself as a programming language is I think dead but not when it comes to Excel macros, it is very much alive and kicking.

I'm trying to create a custom dialogue box in the cad program I use (Intellicad).

Within the dialogue will be a series of selection boxes to display a selection of standard blocks.

This is the start, just one selection box with the list of the standard blocks available.
The user selects the standard block from the list in the display and when they select OK the command to 'insert' the standard block is activated.

I've got to the list to display, then I'm lost.
