zt tyres

hi all,
the old story.
what are people using on their zt 190.
on my v6 75 I was using rainsport 3.
thinking of the same for the mg.
but just putting it out to see if there is a better one.

thanks all

I put Rainsport 3's on my ZT 180 auto shortly after acquiring it nearly four years ago following recommendations on here. I think they suit the car well performance wise and are a reasonable compromise between cost and longevity. My wife runs a Vauxhall Astra Sports Hatch which has almost the same size wheels as the ZT (40 profile instead of 45) and I forked out for Michelin Cross Climates on that two years ago. It's a smaller and lighter car but I've been very impressed with them - they wear much more slowly than the Rainsports but still seem to have as much grip. Only trade off is a noticeably harsher ride, but you get used to it and the "point and squirt" driving style they give you can be fun.

When I bought my ZT190 it was fitted with Landsail tyres from Thailand.
Initially I planned on replacing them but I am quite impressed with their performance and am going to keep them on the car

I've got these on my ZS, apart from road noise, the grip and wet handling are very good from a budget tyre.
I'd never heard of them, and these where ( and still are ) on my ZS from when I bought it 5 years ago.

Most importantly get 45 profile tyres some people go for 40 profile and they are awful, I have roadstone/nexen and I am really happy with them for grip in wet and dry.

The exhaust noise on my ZT is loud enough that road noise isn't an issue!

I'm now down to rainsport 5 or rainsport 3 I think.
Got rainsport 3 on the 75 after a close encounter with a kerb going round a island at around 20mph and the back end didn't want to follow the front .
