MG ZT diesel top radiator hose removal.
Looks like it should just pull off after clip slid back.
Mine is solid, it will not come off to put replacement on and I've wiggled, pulled and pulled longerand harder. Any tips or tricks to get this off please. |
From strictly DIY attempts, I have found for years that it is normal that a big coolant pipe will be sealed on and no point in trying to pull it off. I use this type of pliers to only squeeze & twist to break the seal.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264422966...oAAOSw1AZdSplv I am not sure if the pliers in the link is too small. I only intended to be clear on the type of pliers to twist the pipe to break the seal (I have done the in line thermostat mod on that hose.) |

I presume you are referring to the top hose below, have you cut the original stainless steel band holding it to the Y section. https://i.imgur.com/dzRc1VVl.jpg1 https://i.imgur.com/jbcSiDSl.jpg2 https://i.imgur.com/HCiOczul.jpg3 File through it if not. https://i.imgur.com/tGgK3r4l.jpg4 https://i.imgur.com/PjdeGJal.jpg5 https://i.imgur.com/AytPdjNl.jpg6 you don't have to remove the manifold to do this. https://i.imgur.com/QqlEbF0l.jpg7 https://i.imgur.com/5Qa2IM9l.jpg8 https://i.imgur.com/EE7FLqal.jpg9 https://i.imgur.com/LAS0sbOl.jpg10 https://i.imgur.com/6AuiA6sl.jpg11 |
