After 2 years and 25K miles this is my crankshaft pulley:

But this is my new Corteco: note NO brand name but Corteco say it's genuine and "will last the life of the vehicle." Well we'll see about that . . .

What make was the old one?

The Corteco pulley on my car has done over 400k miles, so they can last. I thought it had packed up when I heard a rattle some time ago but it was the water pump on the way out.

Wow I have seen one that bad, did you not have any sign before it got to that state

Surprisingly, and regrettably . . . from DMGRS.

Well, thinking back, more vibration but then it is a diesel with 127K miles on the clock, so I suppose these things build up.

Hi Dave.
Was it this one below, if so even then it should not have got to that state in that amount of time & mileage its states they have been tested up to 70,000 miles

The pulley looks like it as ground down to powder or melted even? then there's the cost of having another pulley fitted which is not cheap.

WOW.--You'd need quite a few tubes of Super Glue to put that right.--:duh:

Don't I know it. Yep that's the one Steve, £99. They did give me 30% off the Corteco but it all adds up. It's gone back to them to pass back to the mfr.
