Thermostat hose
Any recommendations for type of hose to use for thermostat hot water hose. I have seen different options to use : standard heater hose, silicon hose, and reinforced wire types and EPDM types advertised. Would they all compress up ok via jubilee clips , and not be cut into , when clamped . Anyone used these other options, as the water would be boiling near enough coming out the stat. Is the silicon suitable? The hoses are not available any more on rimmers,at least the one that i need .

This is going to become a big issue for all of us soon. Similar in some ways as will the looms problems . Many are seeing hose issues now ,and not unexpected really , some of these cars are now 25yrs old .

Thanks for the link... ;)

Been doing some digging and the silicon hoses are indeed a better option. They can handle temps up to 350 degrees so well within spec. Used a lot in motor racing ... ;)
