R75 - ZT difference

I have the chance to take my CDTi tourer out for a good cross country run today - what a pleasure after Jeep Grand Cherokee; it didn't have to be hauled around corners! Ride was great - easy and comfortable.:) Nice to be in a car again!
Am I right thinking that the ZT-T would have a 'stiffer' suspension set up so it could be 'chucked about' even better?:):)

The zt is lower, and yes does have stiffer suspension, giving a firmer ride, compared to the "armchair "ride of the 75.I have only been in a zt twice, only very briefly, but my uncle had the zt cdt, I have the 75,and my dad has been in both, according to him the zt gave a harder ride compared to mine.

The ZT /ZT-T also has quicker (higher-geared) steering which also helps.

Regarding suspension stiffness, the early ones had a much stiffer ride than later ones. After negative feedback MG softened the standard suspension (still stiffer than the 75) and offered the original type as the "MG Sports suspension".

It is ~7mm lower than the Rover.

Is the stiffer suspension only related to other springs or dampers and maybe bushes as well?

Not sure in the ZT but the early ZR's had polybushed lower arms from the factory. They were phased out in2002 though.
