Sounds like a job for Phil T4 mate
Possibly your key isn't synced to the car Regards Chris |
I'm prepared to wager the transponder doesn't actually belong to the car, or it has been spiked during a cranking session when the car battery has been discharged.
It isn't a problem however simply contact any of the members offering the replacement key service and have a replacement transponder programmed to the car's immobiliser ;) Brian :D |

The remote boards are of course recyclable, but as you say it is programmed to the cars BCU and locks and locks the car remotely so not an issue. Have a look HERE and compare that to the alternative of paying BMW £220 for a replacement key, where all you need in reality is a new transponder ;) Brian :D |
