Hi Line Sat Nav Issue.

Hi everyone, I have a navigation problem.
I can enter an address into my navigation menu but when I select destination guide I see a map with the car being located in a different part of the country, the map display show’s no satellite in green or any starts, just the planet only. The vehicle ( Connie Hi Line Saloon 2001) is fitted with the Mk III unit which appears to be fine, I have checked for water damage, connections to the rear of the unit together with the small metal antenna plug all of which are fine, however, I can’t access the service mode via the “Set” & “Menu” sequence. I’m holding the menu button in with no result. No doubt the unit is in “Survive” mode with info being obtained via the Gyro, Wheel speed & direction sensors. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how I may rectify the problem? :bowdown: Thanks. :}

Check this plug and socket located behind the headunit.

The grey/green wire in this plug is the signal wire that comes from the ABS

unit. If this wire or the sat nav antenna wire is not connected then the whole

system will be unable to recognise where it is.

Dave,]Thank you for the advice and suggestion, I'll check this out over the weekend and have a look behind the unit and let you know how I get on. :D
