Other ZT's and 75's in Melbourne

Hi All,

Wondering if there's other Melbourne owners of ZT's and 75's floating around in here.
Have only seen a few and even less of the ZT's.

Cheers

When i was staying in St Kilda last year on holiday, there was a silver 75 saloon and a blue 75 tourer i used to see each day.Saw the same silver 75 heading past the shrine and into the CBD.Never saw a ZT unfortunately

Have seen a green ZT parked near VIC Market and followed one off the Westgate Bridge towards Williamstown once, and a Black one in Point Cook Road who waved but haven't seen many more. Even the 75's are pretty rare.

Let's stick together gang!

75/ZT's in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Yes! there are quite a few 75's in Melbourne. I see at least a different one each day. My service centre (one of a few here in Melbourne) tell me that they service some two or three 75/ZT's each week.
A couple of dozen 75 examples are owned by members of the Melbourne based Rover Car Club of Australia. There are some 250 RCCA members. Many own multiple numbers of Rovers - dating from 1905 to the latest 75/ZT models.
The South Australia Rover Car Club is hosting the 2010 National Rove and I expect there will be members of affiliated clubs from every state in Australia and maybe New Zealand - there were Kiwis attending the last Nat Rove held in Melbourne in 2008. I expect to see quite a lot of 75/ZT's there.

I don't think there is a more comfortable / better handling car for touring. We travelled from Melbourne to the Southern Highlands of N.S.W. (Bowral district). We started off with good weather and met the most atrocious heavy rain, thunder, lightning etc in the highlands. We even had to cross a flooded road that unbeknown to us had been "washed away". Nevertheless, Rover displayed it's good breeding and we arrived refreshed and safely.
I will certainly give you a wave should we see one another on the roads.
I trust you all have a safe and happy Christmas and a peaceful, healthy and prosperous New Year.
Cheers and Happy Rovering.
Egremont.

P.S. You may not see that many 75/ZT on the road as some owners use their other vehicles for everyday use.
The only "adjustment" that I have done to my car (with the help of my son) is the "correction" of the car's electronic speedometer. It was showing a 10% discrepancy. Now it is spot on - which is reassuring with the local constabulary conducting speeding blitzes.
