Dead Cdti

The wife's Cdti ( mk2) stopped a couple of months back, just won't start turns over but nothing

I've changed fuel filter and checked that there's diesel after the filter , all is good diesel is clean

I've got it to start on a squirt of easy start but then it stalls like there's no fuel ,can't get why I drove it home from work one day then in morning it just won't start

Could be so many things mate.

Save yourself ages of fruitless labour - either get a T4 on it, or try yourself with TOAF...

Do your self a Leak Back test as a start..If it fires with a squirt of Easy-Start and then stops it sounds like a fueling problem.

HI Carl.
Have you checked the plenums regular, and made sure no water was in there? sounds like your ECU might have gone for a swim, or as got damp, recently seen the same problem, everything looked dry but once the ECU was pulled you could see the corroded pins.

Pull the ECU and check the pins, wont cost you anything but time, also do the leak back test.

Leak back kit if you do not have one, but look at the ECU first
