non return valve in diesel fuel pipe
My Rover 1999 75 club CDT has a fuel leak and my mechanic tells me it is leaking from a 2" whitish valve (which, he says, looks like a non return valve) that is positioned in the fuel line prior to entering the fuel filter. He says he has tried a company called Harwoods but the part is no longer available. Can anyone please identify this part and suggest where I might find one?
Many thanks |

I didn't know there was one - I thought it did return the fuel. IIRC the thing that comes before the fuel filter is the under bonnet fuel pump. That is available. |

There is a pressure control valve but this is near the high pressure pump, in one of the fuel lines between the u/b pump and fuel filter these is a in line round black cap shaped thing (i don't know what it is called) but this can rub through the fuel pipe next to it, just check and see if this the case?, Ste |
I am afraid I identify the part because I am only going from a desription given to me by the mechanic over the phone. I will see i f I can print off the diagram you showed and get him to identify if if poss.
