My ZT saved my life

Wednesday on the A142 my MK2 MG ZT saved my life as unfortunately I had a head-on collision at 60 mph. Thanks to my ZT I only suffered a suspected fractured wrist and abrasions from the seatbelt. I was frequently told if I was in my 1992 fiesta I’d be cream crackered

Jeez. Looks and sounds like you were very lucky to walk away from that!
Glad you're mostly okay! Look forward to the restoration thread to get that back on the road. |
Saw this on Facebook, glad you are ok, the car did its job 👍👍

Wow- that looks bad- I'm glad that you're more or less OK. How were the folks in the other car ?
I know that A142 well, and it is a treacherous road - busy and often folks make risky overtaking moves to get past all the tractors, JCBs etc. that seem to inhabit the stretch between Chatteris and Ely. Take care Pete |
Lydia showed me this on facebook. Glad the ZT stood up well for you.

All hail to the car. Glad you are mostly fine. A new crash test dummy added to the ranks. :}
|
Glad that you are virtually ok. Well done to the ZT for protecting you. That dent should polish out ok.
|
Ouch - glad you walked away.

I'm glad you're okay, the 75 / ZT hold up really really well in crashes, luckily. At the time it was crash tested it got 4 stars, and it would have got the full 5 stars with the optional side airbags fitted as standard. It's reassuring to know that should the worst happen, you're in a particularly safe car.

Holy moly! ... looks like a huge impact, was the other car doing about the same mph? if so ... that's a massive closing speed! in which case the ZT really did hold it's own very well indeed.
Glad you managed to walk away from that with only minor injuries, how did the other occupants fare? |
