the first image shows the reluctor ring face side. this side needs to go towards the abs sensor face.

should be only a very light film of oil.will be a tight tollerence fit that needs to be on a press ideally. its got to be square and pressed in correctly without bearing damage. not at all an easy task without care. so be very carefull. it can be done with care and thought but a local eng place would do it in seconds and may save you buying another bearing !!! :D

So no hitting with a heavy hammer then?
Thanks

check out the posts on here on google search for fitting front wheel bearings. the inner race has to be supported for pressing in and ideally needs spacers of the correct sizes to achieve this. some have managed to fit them with a vice and other means , but a press is really what is required. im sure you could take the hub to someone and pay a small fee , rather than risk trashing the bearing and then doing the job twice ,in costs and time. worth thinking about .... ;)

Actually easy to do with a length of studding and some appropriate size washers.---( Plus nuts. )---;)
