Scrached driver's window

The driver's window (RHD) of the 75 I drive has the obligatory vertical scraches through 114K miles - window up and down against a gritty (till I realised and started to clean it with a detailing brush) weather strip. - 2004 plate. Can anyone recommend a glass polisher? If so, would it be cost effective?
Thanks

You can't polish tempered glass is the answer.

The best option is to buy a new dropglass and make sure the weather strip is kept clean.

P.S. I install and maintain glass tempering furnaces for a living :xmas-smiley-008:

Cerium oxide is a glass polisher, but you'll be polishing for 10 years. Just put a new one in. Also, get a flat blade knife or screwdriver, wrap it in cloth and slide it between the glass and rubber seal, drag it along and you'll be surprised what comes out:eek::D

Driver's window advise.

Hi Thanks for the tips. I have been using a detailing brush to clean the tops of the weather seals. Will use the knife/screwdriver technique.
A guy suggested trying to sourch a front passenger window from a LHD 75. Another guy, via a different platform, has been in touch to offer me such a window - he stated great condition. £25 posted.

That price is OK if the window glass is as good as he says.
