auto transmission TCC
Just did a check of all the auto’s solenoids resistance
and found a couple of interesting things. Found the pressure control and 2/4 duty solenoids we 3.5 ohms , slightly over the maximum of spec 3.2 ohms. Does this matter? The one that was a bit out was somthing called a TCC solenoid. tested at 14.7 ohms when it should have been 13.2ohms max. Does this matter. The rest were within spec. |
Is it shifting ok? What was the need for testing?

last month, always seems when car has been sitting cold . Some days seems fine but other times gear changes are flaring a little between shifts but gets smoother the warmer the engine gets. Fluid changed with my normal fluid a month ago. I did find the main plug to the auto box was not fully locked together so not sure if that may have caused issues. The auto had a replacement reverse piston done at 70,000km , car has now done 230,000km Some days changes are fine, other day changes are a little harsh. Edit - think the TCC solenoid is also called the Lockup Solenoid |
