Can anyone identify things in these pictures?

Hi folks,

When I had a good look through the car I found a bunch of stuff - some of it brand new parts, some maybe good used replacements and others that may be U/S parts that were replaced already. I will attach some pictures if some folks could hazard a few guesses.

So far I have identified new front and rear brake pads, a brake pad wear sensor, bonnet release cable assembly, sunroof switch (:shrug: I don't have a sunroof), a used switch with a spring loaded probe (but for what?), a couple of floor mat retainers, 4 new brushes (starter or alternator?), an intake gasket or two, a couple of metal exhaust gaskets (downpipe gaskets may be from the DPF installation), a variety of o-rings, a home made pipe adapter with a fine thread on one side and coarse thread on the other, a transparent plastic internally threaded cap, a black 8 spoke plastic wheel (92mm outside diameter x 16mm wide), a new long bolt (15mm x 85mm fine thread - for where?), another long bolt (used - 6mm x 90mm) and various other bolts and clips.

I think the black wheel is used with a space saver

Yeah, spare wheel retaining thingy, probably one of the bolts too:cool:
Couple of undertray fixings I see as well. :}

Thank you guys, I would never have figured that out. However, I also have what appears to be the remains of the spare tire hold down bolt (big grey knob with the center bolt ripped out of it). I must get a replacement because I think the spare tire is moving around during high G maneuvers. :D

Great idea! Why didn't I think of that? :duh:

Bottom centre of the 4th photo looks like the switch for the reverse lights.

Excellent Derrick, thanks. My reverse lights work so I guess this is old one that was removed. I'll check it with a meter anyway. It looks like the same setup as the Neutral switch on my Trophy - a tab depresses the switch which then completes the ground for the circuit.

Cheers,
Glenn

:D :bowdown: You tickled my funny bone. Then I remembered that you don't know me from Adam, so it could well be that I might not know what a flanged nut is. Still, that was a CHUCKLE. :D

Cheers,
Glenn
