Not my 75 brakes
A question about spongy brakes on my sons Honda Accord 2.2cdti which is a 56 plate.
I've just changed the rear discs and pads and all seems OK, but the brakes are very spongy. Think there is air in the system. My son tells me that they were spongy before the rear brakes were done. Not sure when the brake fluid was last changed. Does anyone have any knowledge of this car that I should be aware of? |
It's possible that it's just part of the way it's set up.
Our Mazda has always had rather "spongy" brakes and it's been carefully bled etc. They work absolutely fine, just feel a bit spongy and we've never had any air come out. Our other Japanese cars (Toyota's) have felt similar. Don't know if it's a Honda trait as well. Good luck with tracking it down and sorting it out. |
Had read this too. Taking it to the garage just to make sure everything is in order!
