Looking for replacement engine undertray.
I had to remove the undertray from my Tourer today after part of it broke and got caught underneath as I travelled up our track Does anyone know if the new ones online (saw one today on the bay for £50) are worth fitting, as there doesnt seem to be any used ones available. Mine is definately beyond repair, having been 'fixed' in the past and most of the fixing holes are getting bigger as the plastic breaks. (Cant afford £160 for a new one from Rimmers at present).

I like to have them fitted as I think they help keep the engine bay clean.

These guys may still sell the genuine undertray. Fits all models. I purchased one via their eBay advert. Maybe a quick message to them. Came with clips too.

Kevin,
There is a new one in Thame £25 on Facebook Marketplace link below. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...ort=BEST_MATCH Long way from you. I can collect and pay cash for it if you can organise delivery or Pony Express to Scotland. Peter. |
I found the undertray on my 75 to be right royal pain in the whatzits - kept falling off, so I ditched it in the end and didn't notice much of a difference in noise or engine bay cleanliness as a result. They may make a marginal difference in aerodynamics and resulting fuel consumption with sustained high speed driving, but most of my driving was urban low speed stuff.

My CDT didn't have one when I bought it, so I bought a cheap, Polish, polypropelene one on line for about £45. It fitted easily apart from 1 hole for a screw into the front valance, which was easily re-drilled. I know some have had difficulty fitting similar ones, so perhaps I was lucky. It takes 5 minutes to remove, and only slightly longer to replace. And it doesn't flap like so many VAG and Fords I see!

I have one in my shed in Liverpool along with full set of fixings.
