I thought I'd seen it all on a football pitch but something happened in this game which I've never seen before.The Chelsea goalkeeper refused to be substituted and openly defied his coach in stayed on the pitch.Player power has become very powerful in recent times, but surely this is a step too far.
How can the managers voice carry any authority after this?

Sarri will defo be gone by end of the season. Shame, as I genuinely like him. Seems like a proper old school manager. The interview conducted to him by sky sports after is a disgrace. The goalkeeper should get punished but will get away with it. Nothing that Sarri can do as anything he will want to do will be overridden by the men above him.

Shock! Surprise! Scarily expensive footballer ignores coach and keeps his job! Coach now has zero cred.

The coach should have sent security on to the pitch and forcibly removed him.I can't see it happening again anytime soon but it further distances these out of touch pampered footballers from the rules the rest of us have to live by.Disgraceful!

Dock him 2 weeks wages - just to let him know who's the boss.
