That 999999 Miles Problem
Hello everyone, I know that this subject has come up previously, but I would like to know what the current situation is with respect to anyone who can help me with it. My ZT 1.8 Turbo has this problem due to water getting into the CD changer in the boot. That's all sorted now, but the car is on my drive out of MOT. I've been reluctant to get an MOT because I don't really want the 999999 on the cars mileage history. It would be great if it could be sorted out by post. However, if that's not possible, then I guess I can put an MOT on and take it, hopefully not too far from where I am in Poole. Thanks in advance....

The Eprom in the ipk needs to be rewritten or replaced - folk on the site can do it - you will probably have to post the IPK to them. I know Phil T-4 could do this might be worth dropping him a PM .
If you search mileage correction you will see there are folk who are mobile and offer this service - a tad pricey - £100 plus for the job. |

Let's give the home guys some support - trader cb750chris somewhere in the Fareham/Portsmouth area, one of the services he offers is IPK virginisation.
From what I've read on here, a competent T4 operator who goes out of his way to help people. Regards |
Spot on Mike, Chris will be able to sort it.

Thanks for your help chaps

Went over to see this car last night, and after a a bit of faffing the mileage now reports a much more believable 96k miles.
Thanks to all who suggested i would be able to sort it. Regards Chris |
BIG shout out to Chris who came over and corrected the mileage, as well as providing me with a new key chip. He also went through it with the T4, and cleared some historic issues. Top man
