My solution to not having a trunk open button on the trunk

I ran a wire from the inside drivers side button to open the trunk to a button where the fuel flap is. It’s also insulated as it’s right next to the fuel cap.

Good way to introduce yourself with a fix/solution.

I put mine under the boot lip, can't be seen unless you get down on your knees.
Only works if the car is unlocked and if tried when the car is locked the alarm sounds.
You have to feel for the button, the bump is so small you need to know there is a button. :D:D:D

You could always have a mk2 bcu coded so that the key pops it rather than a physical button. I think that's a better idea.

Recently noticed that mine does this.
