Door Mirror Glass
Hi
The passenger side door mirror on my 75 vibrates quite badly, especially on the motorway. I am worried that it will come adrift but when I check it, it does not feel loose. How does the glass fix into the mirror? Is it possible to tighten the fixing in someway to stop this? Thanks in advance for any advice boater |
The mirror is fixed by 4 plastic pins with a ball end which fits into holes on a back plate.You can remove the mirror by carefully prising it out with a flat blade screwdriver,& then push fit it back into place.:}

Thanks for that - will give it a try

Found the easiest way is to use a slim plastic strip inserted into the gap between the outermost edge of the mirror housing and the mirror glass itself to apply gentle pressure, easing the mirror glass in the direction of the car. This compresses the inner retaining clip allowing the outer edge of the glass to clear its clip and out the glass comes.
Refitting is even easier. Engage inner clip and push outer edge of mirror home. Hope this helps... |
