Is that possible? I'd love to change the slave cylinder for one outside the bell housing

The solid flywheel has been done a few times, some folk say its better, some say it gives more vibration and stories have been told about snapped cranks.

As far as the 'outside' Slave goes Russ, anything is possible but it would take a lot of measuring and fabrication to get it to work.

I can imagine that would take a lot of work. The 45/ZS was external as is the latest MG3 cant understand why you would bury it :duh:

The pitfalls of the solid flywheel conversion already said.

Personally, I would stick with the DMF setup.

As for the external slave....wouldn't that be great! :}

I have a solid flywheel on my car for about 10 years and everything is fine.
