The above will make no difference if the light lugs are broken  https://i.imgur.com/IBKkDE4l.jpg1 https://i.imgur.com/vUB8EUyl.jpg2 https://i.imgur.com/gSCvhudl.jpg3 Then you need to repair them ;) https://i.imgur.com/BrAMQTFl.jpg4 https://i.imgur.com/ZPISYuol.jpg5 https://i.imgur.com/vbUdCmKl.jpg6 https://i.imgur.com/UCeT5R7l.jpg7 And use new fixing that will never need changing again. https://i.imgur.com/pOg8c9vl.jpg8 https://i.imgur.com/adKBcVrl.jpg9 https://i.imgur.com/3EsbpP3l.jpg10 Use stainless steel screws to fix light later after repair. https://i.imgur.com/IHwuFMvl.jpg11 https://i.imgur.com/jnmRb5Ql.jpg12 |

I bought the ebay kit, although I haven't used it yet, as I still need to remove the remains of one screw. The plastic sockets have been redesigned, apparently.
When I did the other side, I bought some sockets from X-part. I had read about using a 5mm drill to open them up, but when I measured the ball on the lamp, it was less than 5mm, so I didn't. What I did do was drill a 1.5mm hole at the base of each slot. I'm hoping that will reduce the possibility of it cracking. https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...e61421ca97.jpg |
