what are the shelves like now
just wondering for those going food shopping what are the shelves like now.
Has panic buying subsided and normality restored? Shops did some to help this by limiting the number of items one could purchase macafee2 |
My missus did some shopping last Thursday & said some shelves were bare & some items were being restricted as to how many you could buy, i.e. Henry Weston cider! She was only allowed to buy three bottles  and only allowed to buy two tins of cat food

Lidl yesterday was not bad. Tinned goods a bit sparse but otherwise good. Even loo rolls and pasta. 1 in 1 out policy, well policed and very calm inside. 10 minute wait to get in. Tesco queues were silly.

No idea why but eggs are like gold dust where I live!

My local Tesco’s has everything. Just a few bare shelves. No limit on anything. Multiple deals have been stopped, i.e 3 for 2 offers.

Just back 1 minute ago from Tesco Southend. Probably the nicest food shopping experience for many years. No queue to get in. Only two or three customers in each aisle. Everybody smiling and courteous. Even Celia couldn't find fault. Just like those hallowed 50's. Aaahh. Shelves? Full.

Even though there are double the number of confirmed cases of virus infection here in France compared to GB ,no panic buying and the shelves are full.
