Front subframe change

I'm about to swap the front subframe on a CDT and read in the manual new subframe bolts are required.

Has anyone done this job using the originals as they are not stretch bolts, torque only with no angle?

regards

James

Which manual are you using?

RAVE p797 says use new bolts (all six).

I'm doing the same job and the front pair I took out are in mint condition because they're protected by the long bush legs. The other two pairs are less protected and have rusty heads.

I don't know why they say use new bolts but there must be a reason behind it.

I have done the rear subframe on mine, have replaced the lot with new. Now doing the same on the front every thing will be new, as when done it will look as pretty as the back, one thing though i got a used front sub frame as a replacement it came of of a 190 zt and its as red poly bushes, i have never came across that before

I'll be interested in this thread as I used the original ones.

I have refitted several subframes without issue using the original bolts.
