Second/Replacement Key Options?

Hello all,

One of the items on my list of things to sort is a second key for my 2004 CDTi 75. I currently have just the one key with remote locking and so I'm nervous of losing or damaging it, and I'd be after an identical replacement with remote locking.

I'd be very reluctant to do anything which involves sending the original key off anywhere, so what are my options and what sort of costs might I be looking at?

Thanks all

I got my replacement key from Terry Shaw, sterling chap and what he doesn't know about the 75 isn't worth knowing.........he used to build them for a living !!

He was in Stourbridge, however I believe he has moved to Ludlow or very near.

Forget exactly how much I paid, as this was a couple of years ago, but it was considerably cheaper than the price through more conventional channels.

If you want his number, drop me a PM and I'll pass it on for you.

What did you finally decide. I'm looking for a second key for my 190 ZTT. Did you find a good solution?

Hi Martin,
I would suggest that you get a key cut as soon as practical (The ebay link in post 3 seems to be highly recommended)
Then visit one of the traders who can do keys - There is a list here:
https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...ad.php?t=95585
But I believe it is a bit out of date, as Terry Shaw and JamieWelch are listed here as possible people too.

I can either do you a key if you visit me, or can sort you a transponder out that will allow you to start your car if you post me your EWS.

Regards
Chris

I went to the link and put in the vehicle details ZT-T 190 2004 and the site said 'not compatible'. Just wondering if I posted you my key whether you could duplicate it or is that a bad idea since it is my only key?
Advice appreciated.

My friend recently bought a key from that eBay seller, and it works a treat.

Do you only do keys for the Rover's, Chris?
We need a second key for our Fiesta Mk6.
