ABS warning light problem.
Hi,
Can anyone suggest anything for my new intermittent problem. On starting the car, after a few minutes, the ABS Amber warning light illuminates and the speedometer, trip meter and odometer stop working. Turning the ignition off and back on resolves the problem for a while. Any ideas?? |
Would have thought you'd have gotten an answer by now Nic. The symptoms you have usually point to the drivers side ABS sensor wire/plug. Check around the wheel arch, you're looking for a black wire that goes up into the drivers side engine bay. .It attaches to a blue cylindrical plug. Check for breaks or detached/loose plug. Get back with your findings please.

Only the driver side front sensor powers the speed/odo, (the nearside front is used by the cruise control and all four for ABS). |
Thanks John, I wondered if I'd got the right side. :o
