Just seen a discussion on a thread somewhere about cherished registrations. If anyone is feeling generous, I'm willing to give X666XLM up for this one....

I've seen a few good ones on DVLA website recently. If only I had the money then I'd order a set.

Got mine straight from the DVLA for £400 broker wanted £3000 when he saw my name ;)

Somebody bought it me in return for giving them a K plate 416 sli without an Mot but in pretty good nick.....errr except where the tree fell on the bonnet and wings, still, couldn't tell when it was shiney.:o

Before I got it always thought they were a bit flash, but since I have had it, I have got quite attached to it.:o

Bought a Nothern Irish one about 10 years ago with my initials on for £80 plus transfer.

On SWMBO's Clio we have an "M" plate with both our initials on, number plate dealer wanted £500 plus transfer & other costs, DVLA charged £250 all in.

Dealer was a crafty B)gger, Brother in law and Mrs F bought it me without me knowing, Not being up on these things didn't realise he wouldn't give the price without knowing my name, Suprise suprise all of a sudden theres a lot of demand from Carl's around the country........

Dvla were a pleasure to deal with though, there 3 day turnaround is exactly that, everytime I have swopped cars, Only snag was when one of my Xantia's was written off, bit of an ordeal getting letters off the insurance company proving they had no use for the number (ie, no criminal procedings) That was down to foreign call centres though, Swansea were very clear what to do and fair play to them, they advised me at the start to find the number of the british side of the claims process. Took about 2 months to sort out, but only about a week once we got onto someone who knew what they were on about.......:(
