Mystery Plug Appeared

1 Attachment(s)
Hello everyone

Would anyone know what the following plug is please?

It has appeared towards the lower left of the front grill as per picture.

I would like some informed opinions before I remove the front grill to investigate if possible.

Thanks in advance

Anthony.

That looks almost like the outside temperature sensor. I might be wrong though...

that looks like the connector I am asking about but mine is cable tied to the power steering cooler pipe to the left of the rad at the bottom

If the cables are Orange and Black/Slate, it is the air temperature sensor.

Thanks for the prompt replies.

Yes they are orange and black. So does this plug need plugging back into anything (sorry if this is a stupid question)?

Thanks

Anthony.

The photo looks like the actual sensor to me. They sometimes get dislodged from their mounting. The ambient temperature sensor slides/clips into a mounting braket moulded into the rear side of the bumper. You can just about get your arm inside by raising the front on ramps and removing the underpanel.

Thanks very much for your prompt replies.

:wot:

It is the external temp sensor. They often get snapped off their mounting point just behind that grille. Cable ties work to reattach if the tab is broken.
