First time towing caravan with 75

After my little boys saying they want to go to the seaside, I have decided to take them away in our caravan, within the next few weeks.

I have towed before, including wagon and drags.....

But I am unsure of how my tourer van will behave with my 75.
So I'm sure it will be a pleasurable experience compared to towing with my then Focus.

I'm just looking for ideas, where to go........Where will be open??

Distance is no problem (I used to be a continental courier), would prefer to stay in the UK but like to stay away from the Highlands....

It will be a first for my boys, their used to a few hours on a plane or stopping in Motels on the way to South Spain.

Billing Aquadrome would have been my first choice, but it lacks sand and sea.....lol

Any input will be much appreciated....

Thanks in advance.

South wales (Tenby) for the lovely Beaches, and caravan Parks
North Wales for plenty of Beaches, Mountains, Steam Railways, Caravan Parks and things for Kids and Adults to do.
I am slightly bias though. http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ons/icon10.gif

Cheers JDC North sounds more inviting.....lol
My boys love Trains, would be an excellent break.

The M5, A40, A449 and M4 put me off from going South Wales...

North Yorkshire with Whitby fish and chips and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Plenty of good sites around. Show 'em the garage at Aidensfield! (Heartbeat Country).:) Plenty nice seaside spots around also.

My 75Tourer tows better than any other towcar I've had.

Well SWMBO has booked us a break in Dinlle, http://www.thornleyleisure.co.uk/dinlle.htm

Got it at a bargain price, so all I have to do is load the caravan up, hook up and go.

Its not very far from the places that will impress my two little boys. So I am really looking forward to it.

However, this will be the first and last time I will use this van. I want to trade it in.....So hopefully all goes to plan.

I have recently been touring with the my 75CDT. After touring for many years with a variety of excellent tow cars, I can say without a doubt that the 75 is the best towing car I have ever had, and that include the so called daddy of towing the Volvo 940. Don't know how the petrol engine will perform, but I'm sure the experience will be a good one.
