PCV = Pressurized Crankcase Valve
With the filter inside of it which collects all the gunky bits :D Here's a fitting guide if you've not already found it http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=108032 p.s. the fuel return pipe is the trickiest bit- but this can come off without taking it apart, making it much easier (the 4 x caps push in at the side & lifts off) |
PCV: Positive Crankcase Ventilation. ;)

pcv filter
Can you fit a filter into one of BMW fit and forget units, the consensus of opinions states these units are not fit and forget and a filter is better.

You're right - it's not quite a 'fit & forget' - it needs a rinse clean in spirit every 60K. I had a look at mine after 20K and it just had a smear of oil equally all over it. The beauty of it is it cannot block. |

He quoted for the full valve assembly at £96.61 ( item 13 on EPC page ) It is on the same blinking page for goodness sake ! :shrug: |
