Ipod up and running!!!
 

Hi Guy's,
If your thinking of doing this, for pure ease of fitting, this has to be the way to go!! I started the job at app 1.30pm and finished at 2.35pm.

Couldn't be easier!! I unplugged my CD Changer and removed it. Plugged the Intravee into the same socket. Voila!!!! Music to my ears!!!!

I realise that speed of use may be an issue to some of you and navigation may take some time to learn, but I tend to select a playlist and then just let it play thro', so not a problem for me.
The biggest feature for me is that I control it from HI Fi/steering controls, my Ipod is out of sight in the armrest without any wiring on view and I have my glovebox back.

I've taken some piccies which I'll post later but I suspect it'll take me longer to figure out how to do that than it did to fit the ipod!!!

Watched the video 3 times and still don't understand how you change tracks!

The Hi Line system still thinks its a CD player and I change tracks in the same way I would a CD. I haven't watched the video and I'm a bit of a numptie when it comes to technical stuff, but I found it very simple to select a playlist etc. I'll try to read up how to post pic's and get on with it ASAP. Maybe that would help!!

The units are small enough to just tuck under the cover beneath the glovebox and the wire fed up the side of the tunnel. No major surgery req'd!!

As I suspected, it's taken me far longer to post these pictures that it did to do the job, but I hope that its helpful for some of you and up to now its been running fine. I may now have a look at the website video and see if I can use it to something like it's potential!! HTH

Can you give an idea of how long it takes to scroll through lists? I have 700 artists on my iPod. Does it scroll anywhere near as quick as the iPod itself, and can the display actually keep up?

Looks good Jontie! It has been something I've been wanting to do for a while now but haven't got around to ordering it yet from Bimmernav.

Did the adapter lead (Rover CD changer connector to BMW style 2 cd changer connectors) come with it?
