Chris Flanagan phoned me this morning and said I was a very lucky boy. Not only did the garage fit the wrong plugs they set them at 50thou, should be 32thou on engine's fitted with aftermarket superchargers. The plugs need to run cooler. There are marks on the tops of the pistons but compression on all 8 pots is as it should be.

Chris has fitted a Brand New windscreen bottle. A new serpentine belt also fitted. I asked Chris to give her the once over and he said for her age she's in very good condition.

Chris is going to take her home tonight so she gets a good run. Then he will check over again tomorrow. Then he will phone me with the bill. I'm getting her trailered home by the same chap who took her up. It's over 8 hours bus, train and taxi to get there. Then I would have to fill her up. Possibly stay overnight in a hotel before driving home.

It's been a long while coming and I hope The Bear is back to being everything a Bear should be. :}

The clowns !!!! Definitely a garage to avoid,

Lucas phoned me yesterday to tell me that the Bear would be with me by 06.30 this morning. He arrived at 05.50. All unloaded in 15 minutes. With the bill settled he was gone onto his next job in Plymouth to collect a Land Rover for delivery to Barking Essex.

The Bear sounds so much better. Will take her out later after filling up the tank.
Then I’ll pop into the local garage, that fitted the wrong spark plugs, and give them the news.
